Wild Art: Exploring Nature in Art

A Well-City Salisbury creative course for wellbeing from Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and artist James Aldridge.

Join Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Wellbeing staff and visual artist James Aldridge for a series of nature walks and creative sessions around Salisbury and Langford Lakes – release your inner artist!

We will ‘explore nature’ together on a series of ventures through the Wiltshire Wildlife reserves, following our curiosity to discover the wild spaces around us. Along the way we’ll use what we find, and experience, to create our own individual artworks – all under the guidance of a friendly expert.

Sessions will run on a Friday between 10 – 1pm and will take place at Langford Lakes and other local Wiltshire Wildlife reserves. Free mini-bus transport is available from Salisbury Railway Station. The dates for the session are:

Friday 25 April, Welcome Session: A chance to meet the team, see the venue, have a cup of tea and meet other participants prior to the course starting. This is a shorter session and will take place from 10:30 – 12:30pm.

Friday 2 May – Friday 20 June: 8 creative sessions in total.

Friday 27 June, Reflection and Celebration Session: A chance to come together, celebrate everyone’s time together over a cup of tea and slice of cake. This is a shorter session and will take place from 10:30 – 12:30pm.

Access Information: This course includes walking outside over moderately uneven terrain. Walks will last 1-2 hours and be of a gentle pace. No previous art experience necessary. The location of sessions will vary.
